Popping the collar means you think you are cool while everyone else laughs behind your back and makes fun of you. This goes for anyone as well as vicars.

Okay, I don't understand this new trend, because before it hit, only the gay guys at our school popped their collar. I'm not being mean, I'm serious; only the out of the closet gay guys would walk around like that. Now, everyone does it, and all the older kids laugh because they younger ones don't know what it means.

"poppin' ur collar" is not folding down the collar when u wear a polo. if ur going for the "haha im an idiot with no sense of style" look than ur on the track with the popped collar look!

As far as I can tell it seems to be about doing what you want to do (jobwise mainly) no matter how other people may react to your decision. The song seems to be about people being jealous of anothers sucess.

Popping your collar is something stupid people do, usually preps and usually with the polo shirts that have the gay little alligator on them. If you want to look like a moron then go for it.

I think collars use to have pop/press studs on them many years ago. But I don't really know! Sorry!!

Its a new trend...becoming wildy popular. The higher your collar goes, the better. It sticks straight up...like you are waving an important flag or something. Hehe!
