Yes, you can get lessons to improve your speaking voice, but they are quite expensive. Look in the Yellow Pages for Elocution teachers in your area.

I used to be a bit squeaky and dislike my speaking voice, but, thanks to having had singing lessons, can now be un-squeaky when I want to be! I would suggest singing lessons, or even just joining a choir for a bit - this will help you learn to breathe properly to both project and modulate your voice using the vocal chords and the stomach muscles and also give you the techniques you need to soften and tone it how you want, within reason!

Yes you can, I remember when Margaret Thatcher became prime minister of England, she took voice training to make her more appealing to the general public when speaking in public or on TV

Try altering the speed of your speech. I have to speak on a PA system at work and if you breathe more deeply and try to speak from deeper inside (like from the bottom of you lungs instead of the top) you will sound more composed.

Any one can change their accent, i'm from Manchester, england but i can talk, irish, scouse, south african, Scottish. It all depends what accent i want and that i know. You should't be a shamed of how you speak be proud if anything. Good luck and i hope you find the right accent to fit. lol

speech thearpy, singing classes, and certain acting classes. but remember the way we percieve our voices, is not the way others do.
