I have a 4.8 Litre V8 stock everything. The only mod I have is a Superchip but was wondering what easy mods I could do to improve economy.

I ALSO HAVE A 2000 1/2 TON I HAVE A 5.3 BUT I PUT ALL THIS STUFF ON MINE TO GET BETTER FUEL ECONOMY PLUS MORE HORSE POWER YOU CAN PUT ON A EXHAUST SYSTEM ON IT, AIR INTAKE SYSTEM,THROTTLE BODY SPACER,
I KNOW IT SOUNDS CHEESY BUT MAKE SURE YOUR TIRES ARE AT PROPER INFLATION LEVELS, WHEN YOU HAVE THE WRONG AIR PRESURE IT AFFECTS HOW YOUT TRUCK DRIVES.WHICHS DETERMINES YOUR MPG. HOPE THAT HELPED.

overinflate the tires (rolling resistance)

Install a tonneau cover or vented tailgate (wind resistance)

Go easy on the gas pedal (mixture)

always drive downhill (gravity) ;^)

Use the cheapest gas your truck will run on - most of the time the extra expense isn't doing your engine any good, and may in fact hurt performance over time.

make sure no extra weight is on vehicle windows up spark plugs gapped properly tires in flated to correct pressure timing is rirght

check tire pressue.im sure you already use good gas!!dont use cheap gas.make sure your superchip is set for low rpm

-Headers.
-Dual exhausts.
-Leave your tailgate up (Mythbusters proved it).
-K&N air filter.
