I thought about maybe framing a piece of drywall and maybe paint it nicely or somthing.

Old Pallets make nice doohickys like that. No cost to acquire and very little effort or planning needed to re-engineer the precut wood into a suitable design that integrates well.
Paint,stain or whatever to match whatever.
Piano Hinges make the best doors cause thay look way neato and squeek in tune.
Rope or twine can be used as hinges, give is a rustic lived in look.

I would use cork and possibly cover with felt for a
nice finish. You can even SINK the dartboard into
it for a flush finish..

Although making one is always cool. If you are short for time, you can buy a very nice looking one that you need to assemble at Walmart for only 20 bucks.

use the cardboard from a case of beer it should work good. if it isn't wide enough just bust out the sides
