Everyone is different. I didn't have any bleeding at all when I had mine done. Just eat smooshy foods - like yogurts, applesauce, mashed potatoes, etc. Don't attempt to eat solid food yet and if you do be very careful because you won't be used to chewing with the ring in your mouth - it HURTS a lot if you bite on the ball.
If you keep bleeding call your piercer and ask if it's normal and/or go in to see a doctor. You should avoid alcohol because it will cause swelling. Make sure you are rinsing with mouthwash after eating or smoking, as well as during the day - you want to keep your mouth as clean as possible. You should be using an alcohol free mouthwash too.

yes normal! I got my tongue pierced 5 years ago and all i ate was jello, pudding, soup, yogurt, ice cream but I started TRYING to eat food a week later! YES it is very hard I thought I would never be able to eat a steak again but you will get use to it. If you smoke after you smoke you need to rinse your mouth with scope or something like that keep it clean and dont mess with it much dont put your dirty hands all over it you know

When I got mine done, I had little to no problem with swelling and had no bleeding. Did your piercer give you a way to contact them? You can call them and ask if what you are experiencing is normal. Sticking to easy to chew foods, like mashed potatoes, ice cream, things you can place on your molars without using your tongue like carrot sticks and french fries are good too. Make sure to rinse with whatever your piercer adviced you to rinse with any time something other than water has been in your mouth.

Yeah that sounds pretty normal. Just don't bite your tongue!
Have soups. Tomato soups, chicken noodle. Have those crappy old pasta things for a dollar. You know what I'm talking about, eh? Those soft noodle shape things that you don't even have to chew?
And eat apple sauce. I know it sucks but you'll be eating semi-solids for awhile. Have some oatmeal too.

Yeah its normal for it to bleed within the first week because it takes a couple of days for the piercing to heal. I recommend eating just soup or ice cream. Good luck! I know it hurt because mines damn sure did.
