Book Title? Women segregated, wear uniform like nuns, ugh?

Ugh, I read this book and really enjoyed it. I want to see if the author has written more:
Starts out telling about the main character, a girl who wears a uniform that includes a hat that is a blinder of sorts. The women can not speak to the men. The women speak oddly to eachother. The main character moves into a home and has to have s*x with the old husband that lives there. The main focus for these women is to become pregnant.

I know, not a lot to go on. I think it may have been a book club book? Anyone??
