I just got back from two years in Japan with my husband and we are now living with my family here in my home town. I haven't seen any of these people in a long time and coming out of no where just to see me and see how I have been. I'm glad that they care but it seems like my husband is more bothered by this then I am. I truely don't if they come and see me or not. I'm just happy to be back home with my husband, but he sees it as all of these guys are coming to get me while he is at work. I don't go anywhere out of the house without him unless I go to town with my mother. I have told him several times that I'm not interested in anyone else but him but he doesn't believe me. Hell, most of these guys are married or have kids and here I am trying to inform a brick wall of the fact that I'm better then that. The one person that I love that I don't want thinking of me like that. I told all of my friends to stay clear and it makes me unhappy and I feel jailed. I want friends as well.

I don't invite these guys over when my husband is gone. I guess I gave the wrong statements. I am just saying that they show up only when he is here and he is acting like it is all my fault when I don't stay in contact or even contact these people. I don't even stop and talk to these people when out in public with him because he doesn't like it but he assumes that I do. I am in no contact with these people unless he is right by my side in person with these people. I'm not crazy nor stupid!

What is more important, your old friends who you haven't seen in a long time or the guy you married. Your husbands feeling should come before anyone of your friends or family. If he is uncomfortable you need to tell your old guy friends to beat it.

I don't think he's being a jerk necessarily. It's understandable for him not to want your male friends around while he's gone. Whether you are interested or not, fact is that these guys might be (whether they are in a committed relationship or not) and you could be sending signals to these guys that you are interested by inviting them when he's not around.

Why not arrange get-to-gethers with you and your husband, along with these men and thier wives, rather than inviting them over when he's not around. Also, wouldn't you be jealous if he was doing this when you were gone?

It sounds like he is having some insecurities for some reason. Maybe you could ask him why he is feeling like that. It could have nothing to do with anything you have done and have something to do with a past relationship. We all suffer for other peoples past mistakes. Hopefully talking to him openly and honestly would help. Also, make sure to get him around some of these people too. If he could get to know them and also make friends with them, he may not feel so jealous of your friendship with them. Hope this helps!

I think there's a lot more to this than you're saying since one of your questions is "stuck between 2 guys". What gives?

What an insecure jerk. He wants to isolate you and control you. Nice going getting married to a freak.
