Ignorance to tell you the truth
Words are part of every day language, they are used to express feelings, but words are not bad, or whatever... it's the thought behind them that is bad... I rather talk to a brooklyn native mechanic with a foul mouth, than with a priest that tells me to love Jesus, meanwhile he is loving an altar boy way too much. Look at the words that are considered "bad"
***** every one does it, everyone likes it. It is necessary to reproduce and to eep humanity going, it's an expression of wild love
s-hit everyone does it, everyone likes doing it... it is necessary because otherwise you poison yourself
MFER - if you think about it... everyone who is a dad is a mfer
Cckscker - do you really not like ccksckrs, I love them
T its - food for babies
see what I mean... words are words
why is killing not a bad word??? so there i said it
and if my words have a lasting effect on someone... screw them and their small brain washed minds. weak bastards
and the morons who use other words like darn it when they mean damn it I say... it's the meaning that counts

Just be careful with what you say. A curse no matter how simple may have a lasting effect to others. It is like being watchful of what you wish for. A cursing word is just the same as the the good word you give away. It gives back equal amount of effects only opposite of each other.

For the same reason people find spitting on the floor offensive. There are cultures where that sort of thing is acceptable, and then there are civilized people.
Cursing suggests that you don't have a vocabulary large enough to express your thoughts, and leads the people around you to assume that you're not bright.

As a Christian I try to follow the rule of not "having a foul mouth". Personally there are so many other words in the English language that gets the meaning across without being offensive that I'd rather use that. Bollocks is a good one!
Swearing just sounds so mindless. Be creative

Many swear words are offensive because of their meanings and the context in which they are used. Most swear words are slang for excretory functions, sexual activity, and genitalia. These aren't exactly proper topics for general conversation, particularly when used in a vulgar manner. Also, they typically are used in such a way as to elicit an emotional response. Simply answering no to a question is not as emotionaly drawing as answering f**k no.
Using profanity in general public conversation shows a lack of respect for those in the area and demeans the person expressing it. It is considered crass, inappropriate, and ignorant. It is simply a matter of respect to avoid using words that are known to be offensive among the general public and whenever children may be present. Whether you use them in private or amongst your friends is your own choice.

Curse words are not offensive. It is the utter inability to articulate simple emotions and concepts without them that is offensive. Curse words are a verbal crutch for people who lack eloquence and have limited vocabularies. Our society no longer appreciates the value of expressive, articulate communication; that is offensive to me.

People who can accept curse word without resentment are happy people that keep their energy for good things.
If some people feel insulted they can revenge for that and that will lead to problems, even to fights and resentment that lasts.
Here we need meditation and Buddhism to help us to remain calm and forget that.
People find curse words offensive because part of that is true. For example, if I say to decent lady that is whore and she get insulted, she IS whore; but if she do not get insulted, she is not whore.
"If there is no wound in the hand, we can carry even a poison."

Because it brings a negative atmosphere. If I would use the words, fxg, hoxky, nixxer, or chxnk ect, it would express a perverse, angry attitude and bring hostility to where ever I was. It brings too much information. The curse words never betray anything positive. It just drags other people down. It betrays anger, aggravation, disrespect, and a lack of intelligent expression.

I personally believe a word is a word. It just makes no sense 2 me that only a few words have 2 be reserved as bad curse words or vulgar.

Because simple or not they are still curse words. And really, if you choose other words, you will sound much more educated! It really annoys me when people use them in a meeting or something at work. It's very unprofessional - in my opinion.
