I have a pendant that I want to wear on a necklace that I have. The only problem is that this necklace is made of very large links (a la David Yurman) and I can't just slide the pendant onto the necklace. Does anyone know of any tricks or tips that would help? This is what the pendant looks like: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod17390111&parentId=cat9550735&masterId=cat4870734&index=35&cmCat=cat000000cat2830732cat4870731cat4870734cat9550735 and this is what the chain looks like: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod8490242&parentId=cat6000732&masterId=cat9790745&index=0&cmCat=cat000000cat2830732cat2830733cat000160cat540734cat9790745cat6000732 and there's no way to just open the pendant and hook it on one of the links, though that's how I want to wear it. Please help!!

Though it doesn't look like it in the pictures, the pendant and chain are in the right proportions to each other and look great together when I've connected them together via makeshift bail.

Also, I forgot to tell you that the pendant has changeable stones and opens/closes from the back to swap out the different stones. That's why I can't have it permanently attached by a jeweler.

You'll have to take the pendant to the jewelers to have the bale enlarged.

I would suggest going to a jeweler and having the bail expanded, but looking at the necklace that would not look good at all. You could bring it to a jeweler and have it permanently attached. You could have a special jump ring made to match at a jeweler so you could take the pendant on and off at will. The only low cost solution would be to go to a craft store and buy a jump ring and use pliers to temporarily attach the pendant, just make sure to close the ring tightly. You would actually need 2 jump rings to get the pendant to lay flat.

Visit your craft store and purchase a couple of jump rings for jewelry making. You can get gold plated ones to match the rings in the chain.

Here are some at an online craft store:

That pendent is too small for that chain. The chain will overpower the pendent and you will not like the result.
But if you are really wanting it on that chain then take it to a jeweler and they can attach it for you. I

you need to go to your local wal-mart and in the jewelry department you need to get some wire like whats on this link

there are also these little round hoops that kind of look like a keyring, you use needle nose pliers to open them add your pentent and then attachet to the necklace and use the pliers to close the hoop. sorry i don't know the name of these and i couldn't find you a picture.
