I don't know about a new formula in stores but I've been making own for a long time.
Herbicide Formula:

1 gallon of 10% organic vinegar
Add 1 ounce orange oil
1 teaspoon Organic Liquid Castille Soap
Do not add water

Spot spray weeds and keep the spray off desirable plants. This spray will injury any plants it touches.

I mix mine in a 32 oz spray bottle. I use an ounce of orange oil in 32 ounces. I use a variety of "soaps" and have recently switched over to 10% pickling vinegar. It is perfectly safe in the veggie garden if you are careful not to overspray on your veggies. Don't expect much of a kill on grasses like bermuda and johnson grass. It will kill/brown the top but not the root.

you better contact the ministry of environment before you star even testing your herbicide. Even though is made out of citrus fruits it can be a biological concern as it contains acids that can over time react with other already present chemicals in the environment, and can also be harmfull to certain types of vegetation and depending on the amount required to treat the crop or even in small locations is best recomended to contact the ministry of environment to find out if it isn't something they are already been approached with. There is also information available by your local city department where you can find out where and how to go about introducing your idea even the government can help you develop it and give you a grant given that you have documented testing and profesional chemist atestefying that is safe.

I have used citrus based fungicide and insect repellents for years. I have always been very happy with the results. If you can let me know what the product is, I can tell you if I am familiar, and will try to rate the product.
