The weather has a lot to do with it, esp if you're in a place like this, where we've had 2 mos steady high heat. This week add high humidity--oh joy. It really takes it out of you after a few days. Too hot to enjoy anything, sweating is no fun--and due to semidrought conditions there's so much chlorine and other stuff in the water it irritates the skin! Lovely. I can't quite see bathing in Perrier, tho I wish I could!
Pamper yourself; find somewhere cool, drink your favorite refresher. Buy yourself a little present to cheer yourself up. Find some cooling music or recordings of rain, waves--something like that. Good luck!

A bit but that's because I've got sh*t loads of work to do..... but you just have to smile and get on with it and think that tomorrow is another day and a fresh start...... and I'm loving the weather at the moment as I couldn't take the heat much more.

What can I say I'm very English when it comes to the weather!

The weather can definitely affect the mood of some people. I was really down yesterday...it felt like September already (something in the feel of the air) and it made me sad that summer would end already. Especially since it didn't even get warm here until mid-June and is grey most of the year! I hope you feel happier soon.

Am I the only person around who is aware of the powerful negative effect of high humidity on the mind?
There are scientific studies to prove the correlation between higher humidity and worsened mood.
Plus if you don't believe me, just go outside for a while, then come back in the air-conditioning, and notice the difference isn't just physical, it's mental.

you're gonna wanna eat a crunch bar. i find that eating chocolate that starts with the letter C always helps when your down. also, try listening to happy music. like, say, the gin blossoms or aly and aj orr...phil collins. something upbeat, maybe? whatever works for you. it's probably not the weather, though. maybe it has to do with the moon? i've heard that has an effect.
