Make sure to be off the internet if you are wanting to erase cookies of a site you're currently in.

Than go to Start - Control Panel - Internet Options

On the first tab - General - you'll find a button there that says, "Delete Cookies...". It will ask you, "Delete all cookies in Temporary Internet Files folder?" Hit Ok ...They're deleted.

Two ways. Control panel, internet options, delete cookies. Or right click C: Left click properties and then tools. The program to optimize your computer there removes cookies and empties recycle bin.

Alternate Method - To erase cookies selectively, right click on "Start," click on "Explore," click on "Cookies," highlight the one(s)* you want to delete and press the "delete" key (confirm delete). They will go into your recycle bin.

Empty the recycle bin by right-clicking on the desktop icon, click on "Empty Recycle Bin," click on "Yes."

* You can group-select the cookies (hold down left mouse button and drag, release - they will be highlighted) . . . press "delete" key (confirm delete). You will probably not be able to delete the "index" . . . recommended that you don't).

In my computer,
C:/>documents and settings>whatever the user is>local settings(its a hidden file) > all the folders in it have to be cleared except the 'index' file.
Then, there will be a Temporary internet Files folder there too; go to the address bar and type \content.ie5 and erase all folders you see.
