Find out why the flowers and leaves are dying. You cannot make a decision without a diagnosis. There could be spider mites on it, and the darn things are almost impossible to see, and they will infect any other plants you have. There are sprays you can use to kill whatever it is - don't worry about chemicals - you're not going to eat it. I'm very fussy about organic stuff, but when it comes to an inedible plant..............................
Sounds like you can save it if the stem is still green, but after spraying it, you'll have to cut it down almost to 'ground level.'

Yes, with a good root system and green stem, it should return. Check the soil around the plant bewfore watering. If you stick your finger down and feel dampness, you may not need to water every day. Also, cutting it back will help new growth. Make sure you sterilize your shears before cutting and do in early AM to avoid pathogens.

Yes. You need to cut it back. When it "flowers out," it thinks it has done its job and reproduced enough seeds. Cut it back and new growth will sprout, along with new blooms.
