"Dr Strangelove" is good, freaked me out when I was a kid, but I'd have to choose "Catch 22", though I couldn't pick out a single scene as it is so long since I've seen it.
"All Quiet on the Western Front" is the most heartbreaking. "Thin Red Line" - there are so many. "A Midnight Clear".
Change my mind - "Paths of Glory" - French soldiers executed as an example to other troops not to desert. I saw it when I was a teenager and it made me so angry I could hardly bear the fact that it was based on a true incident.
