My little boy is almost 3 months old. I think he is starting to teeth. Lately he’s been sucking on his little fist and making grinding sounds and sometimes he screams while sucking on it. He’s been very grumpy and fussy too. I’ve been massaging his gums with my finger. I can tell he likes it because his little body goes limp and he relaxes a little. He also starting to drool a lot. I think this are all the signs of teething. Am I wrong? Is he too young to be teething? Some of my friends say that it is too soon some say it is not too soon. I don’t know, my heart tells me that he is.

I actually found my sons first tooth growing today! I also thought he was starting to teeth but i wasn't sure. He would drool alot, suck on his hand, and when i would sit him on my lap he would suck on my hand and bite down really hard!! I wondered the same thing, is it too young, but no its not. I got a piece of advice earlier. Try freezing some wet towels for him to suck on. I bought my son a teething ring but its just too big for his mouth and he gets frustrated because he can't get ahold of it. He puts his blanket in his mouth so it should work. I'm freezing my towels now so I'll find out later how it works. Just try holding him also, it seems to make them feel better knowing that you are near by. Good Luck!

babies can start teething really early, doesnt mean they will get teeth that soon though.. can take months for the teeth to come in.. yes, drooling is a good sign of teething as is grumpiness. Messaging the gums does help. You can also try teething gel or those teething tablets.. they just disolve right in the babies mouth.. they work good. Turst your heart and your self.. you are doing a good job!

huge variation in first teeth appearance...3 months is a little early, but surely not outside the range at all. Parent's heart knows a lot often--I hope for the fun of it that he is, so you can feel validated in your parent's intuition! Enjoy your little guy!
BTW, babies often explore their fists like that at this age--the bigger hint is the sudden increase in drooling, and grumpiness I think, and the apparent relief at massage.
As long as he is elsewise well, no need to worry...

He's not too young. For my first child teething started a few months before an actual tooth came. He has all of the signs. I say you are right, follow your instinct and your heart. It sounds like you are a pro already!!

No he is not too young, the teeth may be just starting to push up against the gums, my daughter got her first tooth before she was 4 months.

It can happen. Actually, some babies are born with teeth. How crazy does that sound. YOu should get the book "What to Expect the First Year." It will tell you month by month the developement that should come along.

They can start teething months before a tooth actually breaks. I knew someone who gave birth to a baby with teeth, not a tooth, TEETH!! So, no, he's not too young!
