Atlas Shrugged. Dagny Taggert is such an amazingly strong woman. Every time I read it I find myself striving to demonstrate the same intellect, independence, drive, and morality that she promotes throughout the novel.

The Bible influences me in every way. So have other Christian self help books. Its too bad anyone would call us idiots for stating the obvious answer to such a question.
Other than those, I read Under The Tuscan Sun and wanted to move to Italy more than ever. I read several books on sales and effective living that influence me.
But my love of Stephen King and most other books just influence me in one way, they make me even more jealous of being published. Wish my books were out there!!

You really should have put a disclaimer with your question for all the idiots who will say "The Bible"
But for me, it was a novel called "We Speak No Treason" about King Richard III. It convinced me that revisionist history had ruined the reputation of a decent and good man.

White Fang by Jack London.... It inspired me to learn all about the wilderness and to respect nature in all its glory and fury.... Also taught me about true love and how you can change an animal or person for the better if only you show them some love.

"Letters to a Young Contrarian" - Christopher Hitchens. How - and why - you should stand up for what you think is right, even if you are in the minority. Not enough good, thoughtful people speak up today, and I think that's a very bad thing.

Sounds cheesy but the Bible. It really helped me to discover my upmost morals and what direction I want to go to in life. I learned so much from it and i'm still learning. Who knows if I'll stop? I think that itself is what makes it the most influential to me.
