I loved this guy for the longest time, we planned our lives together and everything, he moved, but we still kept in touch, calling and writing eachother everyday. This summer while I was in the hospital, my friend comes and tells me that he tells her that he doesn't love me anymore. Time has gone by and I havn't talked to him, but just recently he has come to me and has asked for forgiveness, should I forgive him? I can always forgive but never forget... What should I do?

Hello, One thing you must understand that (if someone really cares for you) it takes alot for them to ask for forgiveness. Especially us guys!!!!! I saw that you must first decied in you heart what you want to do. If you can see and believe that you will be happy with this guy and able to forgive and forget, I say go for it!! but you think it's going to be too much, forget it!!! you see, you dont owe this guy anything. You were the one that was in the hospital suffering, you were the one betrayed...not him!! So dont feel a sence of obligation to this guy to forgive him. But you do have an obligation to yourself to forgive him so you can heal and grow. You must also give this guy the acid test. That is see if he's sincere about the apology or using it as a ploy to come into your life and reap havoc. Just go slow to see where his head is. Now, you said that you can forgive but never forget......WAY?!!!??? Why on earth would you want to go through your wonderful life remembering such a painful thing? I say forgive so you can forget!!!! My advise would be to always remember the feeling you felt when you were dissed, if you're going to dwell, dwell on the feeling (inorder to make sure it dosent happen again and will give you a pillar or strenght to lean on) and not the person----> this cat wil eventually fade away and it wouldnt be fair or healthy to dwell on him when there's guys that will go to the ends of the earth for you. Sometime when we pisss away a good thing-you'll feel sorry-not so much about what happend but becasue our "good Thang" is gone. So make sure he's for real if you want a relationship! If you don't---so be it!!!! but I say always forgive and forget and what ever you decied to do-it will be the best choice. Good Luck..lil mama!

Everybody can forgive someone but really think about the last part of whether or not you can forget. I you feel that you really will not be able to move on from that situation i wouldn't even try to go there. Because in the long run you are just going to be hurting yourself and whose to say that he will not want to change his mind again. I think that it would be more trouble than its worth.

Well, I don't know if that is the right question for you to be asking. I mean, maybe you should ask: does he love me or not? Or maybe What happened? From my understanding your friend told you that your boyfriend didn't love you anymore, WHILE YOU WERE IN THE HOSPITAL? Well, did he tell her to tell you that or what? I may not understand the question, but I'll give it my best.
Honestly when you love someone, the past doesn't really matter that much. You can get over stuff a lot quicker if you love them. I hope you do the right thing. But, if he told your friend to tell you that for him, because he didn't have the balls to do it or something,,,,yeah, that's gonna take a while for you to get over, sweetie. Hang in there!!!!!

Trusting him with your love again will be the hardest thing you can do. You would definitely have to forgive and in time forget because if you don't, you'll never fully trust him again with your heart. Once it's broken, it can take a long time (even years) to fully heal.

Yes you should not forgive him but you should'nt get back with him.What you sould do is move on with your life get you anouther man that will always love you no matter how much time goes past.Good luck
