I used the The cleaning cycle on my oven and now I have black stuff on the bottem how can I get it off safely??

That black stuff is supposed to be there! What the self cleaning cycle does is heat your oven up to about 500 degrees F, and hold it there for a while. The black stuff is what your oven cleaned off. You should be able to wipe it out with a damp rag. You will probably find that it is like a dust or thin shell, and it will come right out. If it is sticky, or leaves residue, run your cleaning cycle again on the longer setting, and then wipe out again.

A self cleaning oven doesn't really clean itself. The purpose of the cleaning cycle is to get the oven so hot that it burns any of the food particles to a fine ash. Which you just wipe out afterwards.

Try running the cycle again, if that dosen't work I'm afraid it's back to the old fashion elbow grease method as I haven't found a cleaner that works that dosen't drive you out of the room with the fumes.

put it on a longer clean cycle.When the oven cools down wipe it up with a paper towel.

steam and simple green work good for me .... and not harmful to you .
