when you eat animals, you get 10% of their energy
animal get energy from plants, then other animal eat the other animal to get their energy source

I think it is evolution at work. Our front teeth are designed by nature to eat meat and kill things, Like a tigers. Our back teeth are largely for breaking down vegetable matter like a cow's. we are omnivores. Meat and vegetable eaters with most of our protein coming from meat.
