Does anybody know of a good MOT test centre in or around the N10 area of London that will offer a free retest within 14 days if the car fails first time? I've found a few that offer 7 days but have been assured that there are many out there who offer a full 2 weeks (which will probably be needed, if it fails!) Thanks for your help, everyone.

Why not get it pre mot serviced .. i did with mine, it sorted out all the problems ... and passed easy.

since the computerisation of mot's every car has a set test time which means free retests are all but none existant.
as already said most garages will not charge again if they do the work or the car has failed on certain items and is returned to the test station within 24 hours.

its not the law that they have to offer a free re test.most only do it in leeds and areas i know if you leave the car with them for fixing

take your car to F&M motors Tottenham, ask for liam, he will sort you out for mot and he is good if you are looking for reliable machanic go to him , Tell liam taffy sent you . his friend now living in wales
