a pedestrian always has right of way, so, you were right. i'd have stood there a little longer then drive really slow for a block or so to really p!ss the guy off.......and make sure he saw me smile at him........lol

Some people just won't wait for anyone and the pedestrian does come first in most places I know of. You did the right thing and I think that was very nice of you.Don't worry about that guy that gave you the finger what goes around comes around.

Yes the jerk was in a hurry to go no where.
Similar thing happened to me yesterday. Guy was walking on sidewalk near the driveway I was turning into. I allowed him to pass and got honked at by some peanut head behind me.
People are in such a hurry these days and they way they drive geez

Um, that was my son being weird. He was doing that with the horn all the way home- reaching over and laying on it just cuz he thought it was funny. And the finger? I sliced it at work and was showing it to him, not you.
Yes- run him over next time. I prefer not to wait.

Depends on the situation, did you stop so he could cross? was he in a crosswalk, did your kindness cause the person behind you to miss a light?
I've found that when people are trying to "be polite" instead of following the written traffic laws it slows everyone down.
