House of the Rising Sun is a traditional American folk song that has been covered by many artists including The Animals. It is very good, you should let be your guide into American folk music.

.

Yup, have to agree, not heard it for a while myself ... :-( ...

Hmmm now for me ?, it will depend on my mood really,
but I like Rumours, Fleetwood Mac, has a meaning from
times of yore. As do the tracks Tusk and Sarah.

Elvis Costello as a number of goodies too, Alison, Watching
the Detectives , Chemistry Class, Good Year for the Roses.

They are some goldie oldies for a mellow mood.

Led Zeppelin, Dazed and Confused, speaks for itseld my usual state ... ;-) ...

Deep Purple for something a little louder.

Barbers Adagio for Strings, Ferry Corsten version.

If feeling sloppy the Dire Straits, Romeo and Juliet, Love Over Gold, Skateaway and Meatloafs Two out of Three aint Bad and
For Cryin Out Loud.

I could be here all night I think thats enough dont you hee hee...

it has to be "the realist" or "for a bandaged iris" by poison the well. The lead singer can really sing after he screams, especially in "the realist". I recommend that people listen to these songs.
