I have had this conversation with work collegues over many years. If I was financially secure I would still like to do some kind of work, even if it was low paid.I like the social interaction we get from working with and talking to others.
But say you won the lottery, would you work and what at ?

I work with individuals with special educational needs. Their unconditional love and love of life keeps me working for a pittance through all the dark days of trying to make ends meet at our centre.
They are a daily balm and massage for my soul.
The difference would be that if I won the lottery I would be able to take a break far, far away with no phones once in a while....

If i won the lottery i dont think i would give up work entirely, i think i would still continue with what i am doing just now, which is working part time! I enjoy my job as i come into contact with all members of society and every day in work is completely different, no two days are ever the same and i enjoy the social interaction with my collegues, there is plenty of banter! To be honest i would go insane at home and become extremely bored but i would probably take a year out and do a little spending of my winnings!! But first i would have to start buying a lottery ticket!!

If I won the lottery, I would not stay at my job. I also would like to still have that social interaction with people too, but I would go about it another way. I would volunteer my time somewhere only a couples days a week. That way I keep myself out of trouble and I would be benefiting others. Maybe a summer camp or a elementary school.

If I was financially stable I would still work, but not at the company I'm at right now. I would always want to do some type of work, but I'd do something that I like a little better than this. Why not be happy all the way around right?

I would still work at my current job. I love socialising with my work colleagues and generally never have a bad day at the office. Besides i woudl get bored of shopping and partying after a while as it's not very fulfilling - + i would shop online from work!!!

I would not work at my current job. If I didn't need to make the same amount I make now, I'd go back to working in a gas station! It was a lot less stressful, you got to know all kinds of different people, and you really got to know your regular customers.

I work with special needs children and would not give it up for all the money in the world. It is the most rewarding job there is and it gives me so much pleasure.

Not me-I would travel around the world. Maybe I would do volunteer work after I came back just to fill the time.

Me I love my job it is my dream and and it took me 8 years to achieve it. I wouldn't give it up for all the money in the world and all the money in the world will not give me the feeling I get when I wake up each morning
