And, if successful, which would be worse in the eyes of God (any God)? If Unsuccessful, which would be worse in the eyes of the law (any law)? With what crime would he or she then be charged? Attempted suicide or attempted homicide?

Both. It would technically be suicide but the person who commits it would be charged with homicide. Already has happened. Ever hear of Doctor Kevorkian? He was a real medical doctor who assisted patients (that were in physical pain and who were never going to get better) in suicide. He killed them because they asked him to. And eventually when he killed enough people, he went to jail for murder.

Well, in God's eyes both...taking a life is a sin either way ... In the laws' it would be homicide because the person that committed the crime is still alive and the suicide person is dead ... no one to charge...

I don't know if you are trying to make this a trick question or not but you are not succeeding. Of course it would be suicide. Frankly the law could give 2 shits if you commit suicide.

Don't do it -- either way things will get better -- you must have some thing to live for
Find that one thing or things and hang on
