Note: if under the age of 21, you can't answer this, because you aren't old enough to drink (technically).

So Mel Gibson (I enjoyed most of his movies) spouts off a bunch of garbage, and claims he didn't mean it.

I have been drunk many times, and if you are like me, you say stuff and do stuff that you might not otherwise.

BUT, have you ever said, or done, anything that was totally out of character? Maybe burned a cross, or did what Gibson did and spout ethnic slurs?

I don't believe that being drunk causes you to do stuff that totally goes outside the definition of who you are.

In reality, I think it brings the truth out, more than fiction.

Not necessarily..One needn't be drunk but only angry to scream out things to hurt others that we don't even believe. being drunk could actualy with anger cause a person to say many things they don't truly believe. Get drunk sometimes and be angry at someone and see what kind of foul things you can say to hurt someone..you don't have to believe those things said in anger just trying to piss someone off because you are drunk and angry. regardless of Mel Gibson's beliefs our country has become entirely to thin skinned and politicly correct. We should be able to express ourselves regardless of whether our beliefs are apropriate or not. Hey Mel I don't agree with what you are saying but I will die for your right to say it. God Bless you all regardless of Race Religion or National Origin...but lighten up!!

it would be risky for the wwe to try this they'd lose sells for the reason that John Cena would nicely be very favorite between toddlers. Hulk Hogan did no longer bypass heel until he went to the WCW and began the Wolf %. BQ: No it will stay PG until they laying off ratings the staggering you may help is television 13 in the event that they ever get there. BQ2: tough to declare although all your fairly going to get is rumors and now no longer fact so which you should no longer say once you think approximately that easiest Vince knows that. BQ3: Batista is achieved retired he left by using fact he felt that the wwe grow to be stepping into yet another diection. Kurt perspective would nicely be very satisfied in TNA and isn't any longer coming returned any time quickly if he ever comes returned.

Alcohol brings out the truth of what you're really feeling. These thoughts and emotions may be hidden under years of denial but in his case, it was his opinions that he spoke. The booze just let his inhibitions down enough to say them. As for what he's doing now... if he doesn't scramble to save face than his career is going to go down the tubes. Its pretty funny to see all the things he's willing to do to make others believe him. He's even asking the Jewish community to help him with his alcoholism!

Don't forget homophobic bigot, which he has been for years, but people seem to conveniently forget.

Drinking lowers your inhibitions. So you might say things in public that you only discuss with your equally screwed up Dad, for example.

I have never seen any movie Mel Gibson is associated with and I never will. Why should my good money fund his hatreds?

I think you're right, most people are more open / honest when they are drunk, they don't do anything too uncharacteristic to them.
