Why is the government subsidizing the wealthy?

I didn't see the article like that at all. I don't agree with having to pay taxes on estate money, esp. since the person who passed on most likely paid taxes on it when they earned it. Why should the gov't be entitled to take more of someones estate just because it is substanicial? Should we discriminate against those who worked hard and managed to save a aquire a large estate?

Because the wealthy are the ones who put them into office, and are keeping them there. Plus, the majority of the government representatives are wealthy.

Because the poor are already getting raped by the low lifes working at the state tax office who steal our tax money to go buy themselves a fancy dinner or 2 a week instead of letting us get rich so they can do it to the whole country. Good idea, huh?

thats the game. we''ve always fallen for it & always will. generally politicians are the wealthy they subsidize (paying their own companies with unlimited taxes). create a problem so that they can hire themselves to provide a solution.

Why are they subsidizing the poor, the wealthy have earned their money, the poor have not, yet we give them all kinds of hand outs, hello. I think you have it backwards

Why should anyone have to pay the estate tax? The person who died spent his/her life paying taxes on the money, why should you pay an estate tax just because you received it?
