For all you Stephen King fans...I would like to know what is your favorite book and/or movie. My favorite book is "Rose Madder" and I really don't have a favorite movie because I love them all!

My favorite book was "The Stand" but didn't think the T.V. movie version came even close to living up to the book.
My favorite movie based on one of his books was "The Green Mile".
I liked "Lawnmower Man" the movie, but it deviated so much from his short story by the same name that if you read the story then watched the movie and no one told you it was supposed to be based on the short story by Stephen King, you would never know that it was.
Books that they have not made into a movie that I think would make a good ones are "From a Buick 8" and "Insomnia".

Movie- The Shawshank Redemption

The Stand is my favorite movie, although the book is so much better, I just loved watching Gary Sinise(yum), and The Dark Tower series in its entirety are my favorite books. But I could go on and on, I love Stephen King!

Movie would be Rose Red. Book is a tough one. I guess it's between the Stand and The Dark Tower series. But I really liked Black house and Despiration. Really the only book I haven't liked so far was The Dark Half.

The Green Mile (1999)
A fantastic story starring Tom Hanks, David Morse, Michael Clarke Duncan between many others.
And don't forget "Miracles Do Happen" (tagline from The Green Mile)

I love the movie ( or rather series) The Stand, but I like all Stephen Kings stuff- he is soo good!!

The Shining and Carrie....both were good as books and as movies. But it is a tough decision with him!
