Can i do that because i dont wanna buy a router cause i wanna be able to play my ps2 games online without having to buy a gaming router too. I was thinking could i just get another DSL modem instead. Wat else could i do. Remember i wanna play my ps2 games online so dont just say get a router and use wireless router connection. If i had 2 modems i could. And the other modem is in a seperate room from the ps2. Please help.

You don't need to have a special gaming router to get the PS2 online. Any router on the market that uses NAT (Network Address Translation) and has at least 1 port can get the PS2 online. If your computer uses wireless a wireless router with 1 port would be sufficient. If your computer uses ethernet cable (not wireless) then a 4 port would be recommended. Getting 2 DSL modems can get expensive. It's not about the second modem, but the second monthly DSL payment. The modem is useless without the service. You may also want to check your modem. Some DSL modems and providers are setup to get 2 machines online without a router (providing 2 ip addresses). If this is not the case a router is usually the best alternative.

having a wireless router will still allow you to have internet for both computers as well as a cable to your PS2. two modems will cause confusion between the two comps and will cost you more in the end.

you'd need 2 modems, and 2 lines, which is probably not available, and you'd be paying monthly costs for 2 full lines.
From what I can see, a gaming router is gonna be much, much cheaper.

yeah check the back of it (the modem) if it has an outlet for USB you can if not then sorry you need to buy a router !
