I get depressed by the news too, and sometimes all the violence and hatred in the world can be overwhelming at times!

There is nothing wrong with not being married at any age - you just haven't found the right person and if you take the plunge you want it to last a lifetime!

It might be time to move out on your own and see if that will improve your relationship with your family. It might energize you to furnish and decorate your own place and make you feel better about yourself. If you can't afford it on your own, think about finding a room mate to share expenses.

Depression is serious and if it lasts longer than a day or two, you should seek professional help. You might even be able to join a clinical study that will provide you with medication and pay you a small amount to compensate you for your time. Just search the Internet on "Clinical Trials" and see if there are any available in your area.

Other things to try are volunteering - it's hard to be depressed when you are helping someone less fortunate than yourself.

Watch a good comedy - anything that will make you laugh will help.

Take a walk every day, not only will you start feeling better, but getting out in the sunshine everyday will expose you to vitamin which helps depression

I hope this helps. God Bless You and Good Luck!

First, get treated for ADD that's probably whats causing all the forgetfulness and depression. Second...Not that I like ANY war, killing or brutality, But, That little army that the Israelis are going after, was ignored by the country it is living in. It's like a gang that's left to it's own disciplining. it struck out at a country during a peace and started this retrobution(sp?) I actually think Bush should carry through with what he said about the terrorists when he first went after them. he said any country harbouring terrorists or giving them aid, will be considered terrrorists too and added to the list. The terrorists....not the civilians, just the psychopaths that use religion as an excuse how often do yo uthink these terrorist go to temple or worship? Probably never.... Its like the outlaw mormons that use the religion to marry more than one wife, not done anymore. They only understand violence and if the world doesn't crush/rid ourselves of them, we will live with terrorist acts forever. I don't want my children to have to face it. America has bad people and psychotics in it too...but they don't shoot missles into civilian populated areas simply because they want to. WheW! got that off my chest! thanks alot I feel much better now!

Somehow, you've got to get out of your current routine. You can only control what you do, not what others do or how they treat you. We can only pray for peace. Turn off the TV if you can't handle the news--I know it's heart wrenching. You have to stop mopping around. You don't mention a job, hobbies, activities. The fall semester is coming up in a few days. Take some courses at the Community College in the evenings.

I am 27 and not yet married. It is no big deal. Things happen for various individuals at different stages of life. I know that life can be quiet frustrating when it seems that everything is going wrong and everyone is on your last nerve. Start praying about all the situations. Take time out to reflect on all that have happened to see if there are any lessons to be learnt. Take some time out and go get a massage, new hairstyle, clothing etc. Things that will make you feel anew and good about yourself. Read books and poems that will motivate you E.g "Phenomenal Woman" by Maya Angelo and" Because" by T.D Jakes. Tell your family how they are making you feel and let them know that you are not going to take anymore of their foolishness. Finally, stop staying at home and moping and crying. Stop wallowing in self pity. Go out and smell the roses. Go out and enjoy your beautiful self. Life is for living not for wasting and moping.

Analyze the facts. Analyze the points which make you feel like this. I don't really think that you are such a bad person. And academics don't determine the intelligence and charecter of a person. So all you need to do is analyze all along. Just give it a thought and everything will start unfolding in a positive way. All the best for you.
Good luck.

You need to see a counselor right away. As you already know this is very unhealthy. You can't go on like this. Therapy can do wonders. You mentioned religion so pray. I may be different religion from you but I live on prayer. The world is a crazy place. We all need something in life to ground us and make us feel safe. Personally for me that is God and my faith that he watches over me. If you want a friend to talk to you can contact me. Much Love

I know what your going through, I went through bouts of depression for years. You need to find someone to talk to. It sounds like your a little younger than 26 though. You should find a therapist. It really does help when you can vent your problems. Focus and try to figure out ways to resolve what is causing the depression. Dont work on the symptoms, work on the problem.

90/10 LAW . 90% of things happening in ur life is fully controllable. So pin down that 90% with out fail. Its all in ur head.

Practice the way of channeling the negative in you to something wonderful. try dancing instead of screaming. try painting instead of screaming. Else meditate on ur problem.

do what ever u do with full heart, dont do it as a job, perform it as an art.

be cool

take care

Awwww Sweets!!! Be strong in your faith, dont listen to anyone complaining about your religion and beliefs. its your choice. You have FREE WILL! As for the being alone at 26... so what? Tell them you are just taking the time to find out whats right for you. Sounds like you need to take more time for yourself and quit worrying over small stuff. REMEMBER THIS: Dont take life too seriously, Noone gets out alive anyways! Have fun! Take a breather, and as for being forgetful. I find it helps alot to put sticky notes on things that you see often- i have them on my computer monitor & on my bathroom mirrors at home. Good luck!
