Above all else: check with your administrators!
My principal, for one, had no problem with us arriving 15 minutes before the bell, but then the district imposed a mandatory sign-in 25 minutes before the bell. Though my principal fought it, he was always one to get there an hour early.
I think if you make it clear you will set up for the next day each afternoon and explain your child care situation to your administrators (who, God willing, are reasonable, caring, and understanding people), they will be able to accomodate your needs.

Interesting! Our school day starts at 8:05, and our first teacher day is Aug 21! What a coincidence! If you are talking about the first day of school only, 7:55 is fine. If you are talking about every day try to remember that traffic patterns and weather will have an effect on your drive time. I am usually at school by 7:10 each day. It gives me time to sort through things and get myself ready - both physically and mentally - for the day. I normally stay about an hour after school to put things away and make any copies I need for the next day.

Wow. No, that conduct isn't justified. Did you ask him in an accusing means or tone? I fully grasp being on my own with a child and looking ahead to the husband to come back house. It does get lonely and while they're overdue, even via 20 mins, it is decades for us apartment mothers! Does he simplest act that means whilst you ask him wherein he has been? Or does he speak to you favor that mainly? I wasn't going to say dishonest, however I simply learn posts on it. So right here is going, that does sound like dishonest conduct. The excuses, the angry tone, and him disrespecting you to get you to give up speakme? I keep in mind my while I was once relationship my husband a at the same time in the past and I learned he was once texting my pal. He bought rejected via her and determined to stick with me. I will certainly not understand how deep he felt for her or if he nonetheless does suppose anything for her considering the fact that he could get 'angry' and lift his voice at me. Of coarse I did not desire him to suppose that means so I have shyed away from the subject all in combination. I remorse it every day considering the fact that I will have to have faced him. *disgrace on me*

first and foresmost, i would check the school's contract b/c most schools have a certain time you must sign in by.....as a teacher though, i prefer to have at least a half hour before the students arrive to prepare myself for the day, whether it be making last-minute copies, gathering materials for special projects, etc.....even if i don't have all that to do, i just like to get there early and feel relaxed instead of rushed when the children arrive.

I think you should be ok getting there at 7:55. Inless you have a student that needs help before school then you will have to make other arrangements. Most of my school teachers were only there 10min before classes start.

You should ask the school. Under some contracts you are expected to be there a half hour before schools starts. I have taught two places and we had to be at school half hour before the students came and a half hour at the end of the day. Good luck!

I think if you got there by 7:55 it would be fine.
It still gives you 15 minutes to get the day's lessons together and put things away and whatnot.

I get to my class 30 minutes early to get the equipment ready for gym class.Sometimes I'll relax and get ready mentally for a long day !
Try to leave early, you never know if the traffic is bad or may have car problems.
Better early than late !

It's gotta be in your union contract somewhere. School starts at 8 for me and I have to be there at 7:45.

I would check on if there are any rules about. Some schools make you sign in at a certain time. As long as you don't have to make copies or anything, that will be enough time.
