Well, to me Kung Fu Hustle, is the perfect combination of action and comedy.

Best Comedy i would say is, Old School. A recent comedy that's good would be failure to launch.
Best Action Movie would be X-Men 3 that just came out not to long ago.

I would say a great movie that has action and comedy both is "The Princess Bride" it's a great movie.

as far as action, i reccomend these titles. some are newer but some came out a while ago.
Pirates of the carribean one and two
x-men 1,2,and3
Alien Versus Predator (see this film!!!)
For Comedy.....
