Last Friday I went on a date with an Italian guy. Very cute, always nice at the restaurant he works in. So I met him after he got off work. He began his evening with drinks, then we went to a restaurant so I could get dinner. He drank more there. He then wanted to go back to his place so I could service him, and then to bars because that's his idea of fun. I paid for my dinner and his drinks, dropped him at his bar, and left.
I grew up in Italian neighborhoods and I was reminded why I don't date Italian men. So, no, I'm not impressed with Italy.

I have heard that is is beautiful and that when Americans visit the Italians are very gracious hosts. I would love to go there if this is true! It seems like a much more romantic place than France to me.

I hope to make it over there sometime. My uncle just got back from there about a month ago and hopes to go back for a longer stay (he just went on business and didn't really have much time to do the touristy thing).
