I will like the books whether he dies or not. If he does die in the battle to kill Voldemort I think I will be pleased that Rowling did not give the ending some fluffy "happily ever after" conclusion just to please readers and leave room for the possibility of more books. However, if he does live I will obviously be happy because I won't have to bawl my eyes out like I did at the end of the last three books! Plus, I think we are all kind of suckers for good triumphing over evil and all that with the hero still riding off into the sunset with his one true love! Either way I think Rowling has done an amazing job!

If Rowling kills Harry, I'd probably cry and then get on with my life. She's the author. It's her prerogative which characters die and which ones live. She's written six really fun books so far, so I'm going to trust her on this last one and not pre-judge it before it's even complete.

Since I haven't been to the theater to see any of them since the first one, I will probably watch it on DVD months later as I have with the last few, no matter how it winds up.

The only character that can successfully kill Harry would be Valdemort, and I can't believe that Ms. Rowling would let evil triumph. The only way Harry can die, if that is the author's intent, is if he dies trying to save his friends. Whatever happens, I would be gravely disappointed in Ms. Rowling for killing off one of the most beloved characters in literature today.

I'll probably react the way I did when she killed Dumbledore. I'll rant and rave about the injustice, reread the book, decided she was justified in her choice, and move on. Of course I'll still go see the movie, I have the other four, why stop now?

I think, but hope not, that Harry will either die saving his friends, or as he kills Voldemort. Then he'll finally be with his parents, Sirius, and Dumbledore.

I'd prefer Sirius to come back, save the world, etc. but whatever the case I'll have to see it. I'm sure it'll be excellent

I would be upset, but I would still see the movie. If you ask me, it would be a really dumb move to kill Harry, just like I think it was dumb of her to kill off Dumbledore...but it does make you want to know what's gonna happen next!
