I've heard Americans called both........so, which is it because you can't be both of these things.....or is it neither?

not fat and lazy. Americans work week is longer than any country in the world. They get fat buy buying easily accessable food so they don't have to come home and work. if they work too much, it isn't always because they are money hungry. it is because they are trying to climb out of poverty. think about this: the poor are getting poorer doing more work nowadays while the rich are getting tons more money working 2 and 3 hour days. (some execs get paid 32,000 for a 20 hour work week - a part time job!)

Some are fat and lazy, some work too much. Same as in any country.

Statistically...America is one of the fattest nations (might actually be number one on the list, I forgot). I also think we work too much, but so does every other consumerist nation.
