Yeah, I have the same problem, only it's worse. It will never burn, and it only reads music/movie cds sometimes. If u read this, can sum1 add a solution 2 my problem too? thnx.

CD burner? Why not upgrade to a DVD burner?? These platter burners do get burn out after so many hours of usage. It cost about $30 bucks for a decent one.

It might be the CD burner (they do wear out over time), or it might be your CDs. Try buying a few CDs of a different brand, and see if it works better. If not, replace it with a name-brand CD-RW drive.

People must learn to use a cd cleaning disk to get rid of the film/junk collected on the laser lens. They are sold at Walmart or any good pc repair shops,nationwide.

Any viruses? Spyware? Adware? Clear the computer of these first, if you still have a problem, go to device manager and un-install the optical drive and reboot. This re-installs the drivers, they may be corrupt.

hay hay just reinstall it again .and check Ur bios simple.and use Nero CD which you got with Ur dc ROM it is better for dc ROM.Coz version problem.
