Your question is flawed...you are giving people a CHOICE to join a "cult." It totally takes away the spirit of the cult. You need to engage the bottom-feeding, dependent personalities and draw them into your cult and then brainwash the hell out of them.

I'm not sure about the three toed sloth worship. How about worshipping Megatherium, an extinct giant (or is it.... cryptozoology.com) ground sloth about 9 and a half feet long.
