I am an agnostic- no religious beliefs/ not important in my life. I NEVER feel the need to say things like, "Have a great day & have no religion in your life." or "Through no religion you will be saved." or to advertise my beliefs- period. I actually feel it's kinda personal- live & let live/ to each their own ....
Why is it so many christians feel the need to advertise THEIR beliefs? Is it because they feel a superiority, an inferiority ...? Why the need to "God bless" me? To inform the world "Jesus saves" ?
Worse yet, to go into places where people are struggling to survive and/ or have happily lived the same way for generations to "spread the word"?
Please,... tell me.

I DO believe in the "Golden Rule"- to treat others as you wish to be treated. (That is, until I have good reason not to.) :-p

Some of these religious nuts who have to convey their way onto others don't have the social skills to adapt to real or normal life and can't seem to respond to conversations that are outside of their bubble.
And of course, some religions require the member to be promotional.

I'm sure it's nothing personnel like they are out to convert you.
They are taught in Sunday school and church that they are supposed to go forth and "spread the word". And if they truly believe then it would be wrong for them not to. They really feel like it's their job.
A person without this belief has nothing telling them to spread anything. If you wish to spread good will, do so. If you wish to say things about others positive or negative, do so...we all have that freedom.
Besides, it's pretty harmless in most of our cases. At least they are not saying, I hate you scum sucking bleep bleep bleep. Almost all are actually trying to help. When you look at all the groups who have gone around the world to reach out and offer hope and help I think you'd find most are religious in nature.
It's a touchy subject and people should respect others opinions, such as yours. But as you can see Jews and Muslims have different beliefs and cannot seem to get along. So many want to believe in their God that they hold on tightly to that faith, for many it's all they have.....and sadly those seem to be the ones who suffer the most.

i totally agree with you, i also think its because they feel inferior and i think they say those things to help enforce their beliefs in their own minds because really they know there is no proof that what they believe is real so the more they talk about it the more real it seems to them
