I am trying to pick a dotor and dentist but i have no idea who is good or not. Is there any website or way to find out who these people really are and what kind of work they do menaing if it is good or bad without calling each person?

By the way I am in New York City if that helps some.

I have posted some links below. These are links made available to the public. I use similar links working in the medical staff office of a hospital. You may also check with the New York State Medical Board (each state has a medical board and you should be able to check their licenses that way) and I know that some states (probably most states) have information made available for the public on health care practitioner malpractice lawsuits. You might always want to check with friends, family members and coworkers...word of mouth is usually a pretty good indication on what kind of health care professional the person is. If someone doesn't like a doc/dentist for whatever reason, they will definitely be vocal about it!

you can go to the medical group website or the insurance website. it'll give you a listing of each doctor and their studies.. It's really hard to find a good doctor.. ask your co-workers.. if you live near their doctor.. if not, then just pick a doctor that you might think is good.. if you don't like them, just change them.. that is what i did the last time. good luck!

Ask your co-workers. Word of mouth recommendations are the best way to find someone good.

Your best bet is to ask your co-workers and your insurance company for recommendations.
