Probably not. There are two answers why. First, their sound is completely unoriginal and blends in too easily with bands like 3 Doors Down, Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Shinedown, etc. Secondly, and most importantly, they haven't yet shown that they can adapt. If you listen to the Nickleback songs from 1999, they sound almost exactly like the ones currently being played on the radio. True career bands are the ones that have shown the ability to progress, not neccesarily with whats hot on the radio, but instead as artists. Aerosmith, for example, has evolved from garage rock, to arena rock, to hair metal, to modern mainstream rock. They've even dabbled in adult contemporary. In a time when Quiet Riot, Night Ranger and the Scorpions were all sounding pretty much the same, Aerosmith was embracing a new form of music called hip hop. That is why they are still around and Nickleback will soon be forgotten.

No they are disposable crap. Aerosmith? bad example, I would have to say that if I were a Nickleback fan, I would rather they break up then turn into what Aerosmith has become. I mean they played at the Super Bowl with Brittany Spears and the Backstreet Boys. I was so glad I wasn't an Aerosmith fan that night. I noticed a few people who had to go to the bathroom when that happened though, if you know what I;m saying.
