The complete book of Vampires. I don't know the author but it is a referance book that covers all vampires from Dracula, to those of the native american legends, and around the world. Very good book.

The best is still Bram Stoker's Dracula.I've read it since i was a child, and it still brings a feeling of fear and awe.
Try also to get your hands on the Night World book series by L.J. Smith. They have stories of vampires (if you love vampires, you might also be interested in werewolves and witches) in a realm called the Night World, a secret kingdom full of creatues of the night.

The Anne Rice series of vampire novels are good.
Also some by Chelsea Quinn Yarbrough.

The classic, and the one that started it all, is simply called 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker. Written well over 100 years ago is still brings a sense of fear when you read it. Never mind the films, read the book.

There's a book called "Vampires, Burial and Death" if you'd like a serious nonfiction book.
