This President has taken this nation to an illegal and unconstitutional war . President is not a king who does not have the power to take the nation to war without congress first authorizing it, first either declaring war or taking equivalent action. Congress never authorized this war, despite the myth of what congress did in October 2002 and the president never had the authority, therefore, to launch this first strike invasion against Iraq. Furthermore, beyond that trampling of the constitution, in taking this nation to illegal war, causing thousands of deaths, we now know that the president lied to the united states congress and to the American people about the reasons for taking a nation to war. Weapons of Mass Destruction, none of which have been found, alleged links to al- Qaeda, none of which have been proven true. This President and his senior advisers who took this nation into a serial war should be now be held accountable for these impeachment offenses. These are the highest of all crimes that could possibly be considered as an impeachable offense and the charge should be made. There is no immunity even in an election year to presidents being charged with impeachable offenses if they have committed them. This president should be charged with having taken this nation to illegal war and having violated the oath of office in the constitution and deserving impeachment.

Bush is not pressing his beliefs on anyone. The one thing that people seem to forget is that this country was founded on Christian beliefs and morals. Even though we have a direct separation of church and state, these things do tend to surface every now and then. Bill Clinton was impeached. Impeachment is a process not an end result. George Bush has not been accused of any kind of wrong doing, so there for he has not been impeached. The people of this country elected the President to a second term and until somebody different is in that office, this is the type of policy we have to work with.
The war in Iraq is not "his" war. Congress approved the military action in Iraq and the people in congress represent we the people of the US. Just because some people disagree with the politics of the situation it does not mean that the President is acting alone.

Dear virgowiccangirl,
How do you come to the conclusion that President Bush is pushing his religious beliefs on anybody? Because he illegalized partial-birth abortions? Or because he has demanded that our country be united on the issue of same-sex marriages?
Yes, he has acknowledged that he's a Christian. Your name is wiccangirl. Does that mean that you're pushing YOUR religion on other people too?
Clinton WAS impeached. He just wasn't forced out of office. How that came about was with sexual harrassment lawsuits (Gennifer Flower). When he was called to the stand, and asked about his sexual escapades, he lied under oath. He claimed he had never "had sex with that woman." That is perjury, which is a crime, which is an impeachable offense.
Our military is still volunteer only, so how is President Bush "forcing" anyone to fight this war? Also, don't forget that over two-thirds of Congress voted their APPROVAL of President Bush to deploy military units into Iraq.
The reason that President Bush is not up for impeachment is because although some of his actions have raised QUESTIONS as to their legality, no proof has been found. If and when a Democratic Congress is elected this November, I still doubt they would/will be able to find anything that is impeachable.
Do you understand?

Regards,

The staple king hasn't got a clue. It is not OK for Bush to push his religious views on us, but we have allowed it. Clinton was impeached for lying about his personal life. Bush has gotten our country into a needless war by lying. He has ignored the constitution and committed many impeachable offenses. But with the Republicans in control of congress, he will never be impeached. We Americans have allowed this to happen by our stupidity. If we do not throw these people out of office, then we get what we deserve. Why don't Americans understand that the war in Iraq(which is actually an occupation not a war) has nothing at all to do with 9/11.

How has President Bush impressed his religious beliefs on you? Did someone in the government come to your house sunday morning make you believe in Jesus Christ and wisk you off to a church service? NO. You are still able to believe what you'd like,so your assertion is incorrect.President Clinton went thru the impeachment process for LYING under oath to a grand jury. President Bush has not lied under oath or to the American people.Since 2003,our military has found 500 WMD's.They may have been degraded, but can still be lethal-- this is a fact. Saddam murdered 350,000 of his own people from 1991-2002, if not for humanitarian reasons alone, would it not be a good thing to get rid of this evil man?

The whole clinton impeachment thing was based on the fact that he commited perjury (lying under oath), and it was blown out of proportion. Bush is pushing his conservative agenda and right now, sadly he is the president and approves laws that are driven by his party. Its politics. Happens all the time. Congress approved the war, and us staying there, so blame congress as well. Im not a bush fan, but you have realize that until the next election, things are pretty much going to stay the same.

Assuming you are a USA citizen, would you have preferred he ignored the whole thing and it might have gone away? Would you rather he did nothing and let terrorists be fought in this country in our back yards and in our homes? I really don't believe we are fighting President Bush's war but for the USA. I know that the terrorist groups are coming up with some pretty convincing propaganda but be careful of everything you believe. This is a time in the US history when uncertainty reigns. Educate yourself on these matters. The whole world is at your fingertips. Find what others are doing and formulate your opinions from that. Start reading Newsweek publications concerning Iran. I have read a lot of news but I really can not remember President Bush preaching a sermon on his beliefs and he is entitled to them, the United States Constitution states this clearly.

Is he pushing his religeous beliefs, or american beliefs? Peace, Justice, and fairness for all? Is that really so christian?

Clinton was up for impeachment for lying under oath. Bush would have to do something impeachable before being impeached. Unfortunately for democrats and bush bashers, making "bad decisions" isn't a criminal offense.

He's not pushing anything on anyone. If you are talking about gay marriage, that has nothing to do with religion. Marriage has a definition, look it up. I believe a gay union is fine, but not a "marriage". If you do not have limits, there are unlimited possiblilities. Next, someone will want to marry their goat, and who are we to say no?

Clinton lied under oath to a grand jury, that is something most people go to prison for. I don't care what he lied about, I could care less about him cheating on his wife. The fact is, he blatently lied to a grand jury. That is against the law, and shamefull for a President. If he lied about something as stupid as that, what else is he capable of doing?

This is not Bush's war. This is a war against a group of people, whose main goal in life is to destroy the West (specifically us) because we do not have the same beliefs as them. These terrorists are funded, and aided by some governments (like Iraq, before we liberated it). These terrorists hide amongst civilians, and do not wear uniforms, so it is difficult for us to distinguish them.

Muslim extremists want 1 of 3 things. For you to convert to their religion (and you still won't be an equal), to pay a tax for not being a muslim, or for us to die.

You may not realize it, but Bush will go down in history as one of the greatest presidents of all time.

Is Bush lying under oath? No, he's not- so that's why he's not up for impeachment. Obviously, no offense, but that was a pretty stupid thing to ask.
And, it is not BUSH's war. It is the United States war- it is our fight against terrorism. If you don't like it why don't you become a suicide bomber and kill some innocent people
