The best and worst advice I've ever gotten is probably:to live for the future. If you don't live for today, you will probably have a regret or two if there isn't a tomorrow. I live every day to the fullest. And, I am more of an honest person for it.

The Best Advice was from my mother who was hearing impaired and told me to always stand up for myself, always making sure I take full advantage of all information given and finding any that is hidden.
Worse advice: This guy name Ken once told me he liked me, he was in his fifties, that was the worse thing I could have ever done was listen to that fool!! LOL Have a great day.

best advice: from my grandfather, i learned the value of hardwork -- and sharing your blessings (not to forget the less fortunate) without expecting anything in return. he taught me how to love myself and be proud of my accomplishments, and stay humble at the same time.
worst advice: to "always listen to your elders, they know what's best for you" -- so not true. nobody's perfect. i don't mind listening to their suggestions, but when it comes to life matters or decisions to be made in MY life -- i always have to have the last say -- if i fail, that is my responsibility.
one good thing i've learned from my dad is that this is my life, i can do anything i want to do with it -- but if i fail, i should be independent enough to get back on track by myself without the help of other people.

From my mom -love yourself, money will come, money will go.(like men) never around when you truly need it, and grooming, never leave the house without fixing your hair. ?!
And worst I've learned on my own, through experience of not listening to her. (LOL)

These don't have anything to do with the categories that you are asking but had to tell this.
Worst:I asked how to get disabled tag for my parents and was told "flea market", PLEASE.
Best:Wanted to know how to cut a frozen turkey in half, while still frozen, "with jig saw", worked great!!

Whenever someone gets hurt - like physically hurt.... My mother always says "Stop crying and pull it" (like if you break a finger, arm whatever -- pull it out of the socket to re-adjust) Shes old school tho - what can I say....
