They're crying because communism is alive and well right here in the good ol' U.S. of A., and it lives in the Democratic Party. And these people call themselves more "enlightened" than conservatives...PLEASE!!!

WRONG! ha ha HA!
Oh this site is a joke.
What's good for America is bad for Republicans.
Working class makes more money with "libbers".
Oops! embarrasing fact! Sorry!
The Democrats and Liberals do more for the working man than the Republicans ever will. When it was more liberal in Congress a few decades ago the working poor had a lot more buying power. It's the REPUBLICANS who want the majority to live like Cubans.
Perfect example. Mining.Used to be one of the best paid and highest benefits jobs in America. Now its $12/hr and no benefits.
Why? Republicans who think the money to go to the workers benefits is better being held by them to have more cash to play the stock market, screw the working class, that's why.
Cuba looks more Republican than Democrat in that sense, the rich few and the poor many.fact's a B!+c#,huh?
That's why Red states are turning Blue.
Let's get back to taking care of the working class.

Nobody is crying for Castro, except his followers. Cuba was a paradise until Castro came and make it(Cuba) an inferno. Why Castro and Raul use a military uniform, is a big question. I say down with "Communism", and let's hope Cuba will return to freedom and be accepted in the world community.

The big lie of Communism has always been that "things are going to be perfect really soon, and you just have to wait, and work harder, and things will be perfect, but meanwhile there is a big bad enemy, trying to take your nearly perfect state away from you, and you have to work harder still." The lie behind the lie is that if everyone works only for everyone else, and not for themselves, that you are on the way to perfection.
The problem with all of that is that n general, people would rather work for their own good first. The unfortunate / fortunate thing about that is that if everyone works for his / her own good first, society progresses more quickly, and people are better off.
The "philosophy" behind the first lie is that there are people out there who don't want to be responsible for anything, including themselves. If they aren't responsible, then they can blame society for their troubles.
So some people mourn the potential passing of a socialist dictator, because everything was "almost perfect", i.e., no one had personal responsiblity.
The truth is that the only nearly pure socialist states that worked were religious orders of monks and nuns, and even then, they required large infusions of cash or food, to keep going.
And that's the way it is, August 2, 2006

People (liberal media) do seem to be upset that a bastion of "liberalism" in the dictatorial regime of Castro is coming to an end. I believe the biggest part of that is many of them feel communism is a viable political solution. As an ideology communal living took off in the 60s with hairy hippies living in communes in Oregon and northern California, most of these people woke up and bought up the land in Napa valley and are now gazillionaires.. There remains a vocal contingent of left overs that seem to that terrorists like Castro, Chavez, and Guevara were models of how the world should operate. The effect is to bring everyone DOWN instead of UP.
Capitalism is a system that requires motivation. People who want to suck off the hind teat of society prefer to not have to work too hard...This is why Castro's Cuba, and Kim Mentality Ill's regimes are among the weakest economies in the world. Their dictatorial power has created poverty not prosperity..

"What's good for America is bad for libbers"? How is $3.40 a gallon for gas, spying on Americans, and pre-emptive war good for America?

what does castros health have to do with "making america like cuba"?
there are many people in sweatshops producing american goods that do not even make $15 per week. Maybe the cubans are lucky that the US hates their government.
they are better off than many. they have good healthcare and education. maybe you should go yourself and see cuba...oh wait you cant if you are american

Because Castro is one of their last hopes for a worldwide socialist hell, um, I mean, PARADISE. To be fair, I think most liberals with half a brain know that socialism is a dead end, but you find holdouts, mostly in the halls of academe. It's OK, they'll all be in nursing homes soon...

LOL. What is truly humorous is that the likes of Danny Glover and Robert Redford, who LOVE Castro, won't move over there, because they don't want to give up their pampered, multi-million lives here in America.

You need to turn your tv off of Fox news and stop watching the 700 Club, dude. I haven't heard of a single liberal crying over Castro's health. Get over yourself and stop making things up. Wait a minute, your a right-winger.......that's what you do.
