I really don't like Anthony Clark as the host. He's too nervous and he stumbles his lines. Not nearly as funny as Jay. What happened to Jay????

He has some kind of "consultant" credit on the show...

I'm sure he did not want to do the show after the season 3 debacle - August 2004, right after season 2 finished they had a season 1 vs. season 2 match. You could tell they rushed to put something together. It wasn't nearly as good as season 2 was and NBC actually pulled the plug so the finale never aired. I'm sure he was'nt happy with it not airing. Comedy Central aired it later on.

You're right Anthony Clark isn't right for the role - Mohr was good with his sacrastic humor as host. Season 4 was a disappointment overall.

In 2003 and 2004, he was the host, creator, and executive producer of NBC's Last Comic Standing reality television program, one of his most visible television roles. The show aired for three seasons, but was cancelled near the end of the third season due to poor ratings. Mohr was very vocal toward NBC concerning its cancellation, and did not return for the show's fourth season in 2006. Mohr was replaced with new host Anthony Clark, but he is credited as a consultant.

Jay is one of the consultants now. I think he's getting married soon so maybe he just didn't have the time to do it.
