Well...
I've been skating for a while now (6 years)
And I thought maybe I could try to get on a Flow team.
Get some free junk :D

My son (who's now 18) took it upon himself to call a certain skateboarding clothes company and the guy he spoke to asked him some questions, had him send in a few pictures, asked what he liked about boarding, and before long he was being sent boxes and boxes of shirts/pants/belts/patches, etc.; That was when he was about 15 and the "relationship" lasted about a year and 1/2...send an email, make a call, see if a friend of a friend's father works for a company that may have something to do with boarding...it's not going to fall into your lap, man! Go for it!!!

I recommend making a pretty good video () and sending it out with a cover page with why you want to do it (AND PLEASE not just for the free stuff, what can you do for them?) Mountain Dew has a good tour this year don't they? Are they going to be near you? I would search for tours that will be near you that you could go and show your talents. If you have any thoughts about anything that could improve their company in your eyes (you, your peers, your siblings, what you see being hot next year, etc) If you dont have access to a camera, and you aren't near where they are going to be, then write a heartfelt letter as to why you would be right being flow...Have you been using the same company for everything since you've started skating?
Just a follow up question, where do you live? I'm not asking for address, I just would like to know the general vicinity -as I could tell you where to send things... Good luck!!!

im on the flow team for fallen, sponsored by a few local skate shops. you have to get sponsored by a local place first, you'll go to some comps, then if you're lucky (and a good sk8er)a rep from a company will come talk to you about a sponsorship

go skating at some busy places, get your name out there in the local scene, sponsor-me videos, try getting sponsored by a local skate shop and it doesn't hurt to know some pro or am skaters :)

Make a video of your stuff and send it to the flow team.

Also enter local contests and keep practicing.

enter contests, do fairly well. have one of your partners take still shots or some video. make a lil bio of yourself and your skills...my good friend is a fully sponsered dirt boarder. he put his time in and now he's semi-famous and gets paid to travel around and skate(dirt board).
