Why would want to be with someone that you feel it necessary to hit? If she makes you that mad, then why be with her. The way that I see it is if you need to hit her or someone smaller than yourself, then you are a coward and a bully. The reason you hit women is because you are weak and small as a man. It is illegal to hit anyone and there is no strength that you can do it for it to be legal. I really hope that you get turned in and arrested and when you are in lock-up, some big hairy man beats the living hell out of you. Maybe then you will not hit a woman because you will know how it feels-mentally and physically.

I realize that if someone were trying to hurt you, you could defend yourself, but outside of that, you are allowed to hit someone? That's news to me.

We do some knock-around things in play, but once it is perceived to be beyond play is where the trouble lies. We used to permit, and in some respects still do, for parents to physically restrain or inflict some temporarily punishing pain on children for the purposes of behavior modification when they do things wrong. But if "GF" means Girl Friend, then that goes back the original question, you are permitted to hit someone?

If you hit her hard enough for her to notice in the slightest little bit, it is too hard.

You cant hit your girlfriend at all if you are doing it in a mean way. If you are "teasing" and its hard enough to hurt her, or if to her she feels threatened then its all abuse. Your best bet is to not hit her at all, but if you lightly punch her in the arm and call her buddy then there shouldnt be a problem with that.
