He is a dictator who has brought equality to all of Cuba by making everyone equally miserable. Many of the people celebrating in Florida had successfully escaped his regime and come to the U.S. leaving friends and family behind.

Castro is a butcher and is responsible for thousands of deaths. The Sadam Hussein of Cuba. In 1959 he overthrew the Batista government with the aid of the United States. He promised freedom and prosperity from Batista the dictator once he took over the new Cuban government. Trade agreements were promised and a new era was to open between Cuba and the US.
But once Castro took over he immediately declared himself a communist and turned to the USSR for support. The Soviets jumped at the chance to embrace the Cubans since it put communism a mere 90 miles from US soil. That was only the beginning.
Castor has suppressed his people ever since. Tens of thousands over the years found it so horrible to live under his iron fist that they have risked their lives in small boats to journey those 90 miles of shark infested waters just for a chance at freedom.
I believe that all Cubans want freedom and hopefully the day Castro dies they will get it. The Cuban situation is nothing like the Mexican blight to American. Mexico is in the hands of Mexicans, it's just that they don't want to better their country.

Because a lot of those people dancing in Miami fled Cuba in fear of their lives. Castro has been one of the most brutal dictators of all times. He is not the 'president' of Cuba as the press so often mistakenly reports. He is a dictator. As such, it is either his way, or else. Often times the else is death, or jail.
I studied Spanish in college under a professor that was in Catro's good graces and part of his regime, until there was a falling out. This professor, like so many other refugees here in the US, is here because he knew if he stayed, he would have been killed.
So those dancing in the streets of Miami are celebrating with hopes of possibly being able to return to their homeland without the fear of dying for what they believe in.

You obviously do not remeber the pain and fear Fidel Castro CAUSED those people in Florida. SO much pain and fear, that they will try and cross shark infested waters on an inflatable raft, 80 MILES. Castro is a Dictator, masquerading as a Savior. He saved NOTHING. People in Cuba live in poverty just as they did BEFORE his revolution. If I were there, I'd have danced too.

You know how people in this country (U.S.A.) say how much they hate Bush and how we always protest and everything? Well, try doing that in Cuba about Fidel Castro. Castro's soldiers have had strict orders for the last 50 years to kill whoever opposes him in this fashion. People attempt everyday to swim across to Florida with their own power and the clothes on their back in an attempt to get away from his communist country.

Castro is a murdering thug dictator who has imprisoned his people for almost 50 years. People are rejoicing at the thought of FREEDOM for Cubans.
Were you born that ignorant or do you just try hard?

since Castro is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in Cuba, and many of those people in Florida fled their homes after Castro seized power and became a dictator,
THAT is why people are celebrating his impending demise...
is it wrong to celebrate the death of a tyrant? nope

You must be very very young for you to ask such a question. Does the cuban missile crisis ring a bell? Does communism mean anything to you? Please do your homework......... It really a shame that you dont know what Fidel Castro has done to his people.... It is too much to explain here what this assasin has done for thousands of people to be on the streets rejoicing about him dying. I hope his death is a slow one.....

I understand your point, but really, you're not old enough to understand the hatred he has for us, and we have for him. I was pretty young through all of that, but I do remember enough of it to appreciate the sentiments of the exiled Cubans in Florida. It's sort of like the Jewish people celebrating the death of a Nazi war criminal who ran a concentration camp. You sort of had to 'be there" to understand everything--and all of the emotions--involved in this.
Frankly, even though it may not change much in the world, I'm pretty eager to see the son-of-a-b*** kick off, too.
