Yes, I really think he is anti-semitic. He wasn't too drunk not to know what he was saying. And he did drink enough to reveal what he was really feeling inside.

I wouldn't want to support anyone who is showing bigotry against anybody.

I wonder if he killed someone if there would be so much bally hoo. I do care when someone hates someone due to their race, religion, sex etc...

But they are making so much out of this it is incredible! He said something stupid, he's not the president he has no power he is just an actor/director who people take way too seriously.

I understand that he is a anti-Semite but we can't control how and what people feel. Let's face it, we are all racists in one way or another. I totally get why Jews are up in arms because of the holocaust and all the other atrocities that has happened but guess what, every race has had an atrocity done onto them.

Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never harm me. Stop whining, the world is screeching to an end and all you hear on TV is about some drunk-a** remark Mel Gibson said.

Stop it already, mea culpa for God sake!

Mel Gibson can be whatever he wants.. he's still an awesome actor.... people get trashed all the time and say stupid things do we make a big deal out of it... maybe but mostly we don't care because that's their choice to be that way... yet we attack these celebrities and make a huge deal about it when it's a weak occasion. ignorant people piss me off, i don't see why people just cant keep their opinions to themselves... he blamed the war on the Jewish community... well they are fighting against the Lebanese people... can't people really say what's on their minds without getting beat up about it? besides he was drunk does anyone who is wasted say the right thing no it all comes out backwards and twisted come on people... he was trashed. rappers say the word ****** all the time but do they get shot down... no.... so think about that one. as much as i was raised to oppose the jewish community in israel i have many jewish friends, if i was wasted i would probably let things slip about the jewish population to but that is not how i view my world, that view is the palestinian view as an american i know better and for christ sake i cry when i watch holocaust documentary because no matter who you are, what you look like, or where you are from you deserve respect and your dignity prevails, people aren't born evil they are raised to be but they also have a choice and oviously mel gibson has made the choice to be a good person, alcohol screws everybody up

I think that Mel Gibson is great and I don't care whether he is anti-semitic or not. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and some of the things he said weren't all that far off.

My guess is his movie was therapy. Maybe he harbored a feeling about them and acted out with it by directing his movie "The Passion of Christ" and when he was done with the movie, he reacted. Not good to hold things in because anger can come out in strange ways. WWII message was "Did God get His revenge for the killing of his Son?" I saw that question asked on a TV docudrama when TV began to show more about Christ than we had questions. I don't care in that it's really none of my business what Mr. Gibson's views are. I do think the man is a genius. The movie showed a huge amount of cruelty to stun some of us into realizing that Christ suffered in a most humiliating way and didn't even have a lawyer. I've seen the movie at least l/2 a dozen times and I still cry.

Not only has Mel proved (beyond a shadow of a doubt) that he does not like Jews, he is also very homophobic. Several papers picked up on his statements around 1993.

Combine those situations with his alcoholism, and it is evident that he is a mess and has serious issues. ABC has just cancelled Mel's series about the Holocaust. Gee, I wonder why.

If you've ever been staggeringly (is that a word?) drunk you know that you can shoot your mouth off without thinking. I don't think he is anti-Semitic considering he made a movie about a Jew and put it in a positive light and in the proper context. It's not that I don't care.... but I am a little disappointed. I didn't know he was struggling with an alcohol problem, he always seemed so 'together' in the interviews I've seen with him.

That stupid anchor would not start up to study with the stupidity you've been waiting to advance. for sure I care as could others who're inspired by ability of the beliefs severe profile personalities, or by ability of the movements of inebriated drivers!!! Now, what precisely is the **** that Jews have carried out through the years? And, what issues have THEY brought about international? Did God no longer enable, ney, admonish the Israelites to kill their enemy, and the animals of their enemy? What Bible do you study... Mein Kamph? Do you study??? If no longer, now can be a reliable time to study. then you may start up questioning for your self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the others who do not study and performance excused the habit to drunkenness... all drunkenness does is decrease the inhibitions of the inebriated. It does no longer enable the inebriated to by surprise undertake a sparkling religious philosophy, or receive surprising insite right into a international conflict. The inebriated is better probably to verbally teach and/or act out formerly felt anger and discovered hatred than his modify-sober-personage.

Don't care if he is or isn't....

He's a human, just like us, who cares if he is or not! Who cares what celebrities think....it doesn't make the world spin differently, does it?

It's not like his opinion counts, like if this is the last day and earth is about to be blown to bits and pieces, and we're gonna be like, "OMG! THe world's ending...somebody, pls, find Mel and ask him what he thinks!"

Of course he is! It's a known fact. Do I care? Of course! He's a celebrity. He has the power to influence people very easily. Where I come from, that's a dangerous thing.
