Ok, my daughter has a zit problem. Not acne, just zits. I don't want to go out and buy some expensive acne thing, and we already have "Dove deep moisture facial cleanser. "When I was her age, my mom always wanted me to eat onions because it cured diseases, and I would be sick less often . I had zits and I put the sticky stuff inside green onions on my zits and it kind of helped, probably because it killed the bacteria. So I was wondering if any other household items (fruits, vegetables, etc.)could help. If you know of any, please tell me what it does and how it works. (ex. Onions because they kill germs and if you put it on, it will kill the bacteria in the zits, (something like that) . Thanks for the help!

the moisturizing cleanser kind of works! It doesn't really moisturize so that's why I was using it.

Zits are white blood cells killing an infection. Instead of getting rid of the zits, you should try to prevent them.
Wash your face 2 times a day w/ a mild face soap.
Don't sleep in your makeup.
Wash your pillow cases often.
After you condition your hair, wash your face. The conditioner can clog pores, causing zits.
A good face wash is St. Ives' medicated face scrub.
A toner works well for getting your face clean. You can wash yoru face, and then rub a cotton ball dampened w/ toner on your face & dirt that you didn't know was there will come off.
Be sure that any cosmetics you use are noncomodegenic (nonporeclogging).
Wash your hair every 1-2 days. If you're one of those people who go w/o washing there hair for 3-4 days at a time then the hair could be getting bacteria on your face. Especially if the pimples are along your hairline.
BUT if you already have zits, then try this.
about 1 tsp Lemon Juice
about 1 tsp Hydrogen Peroxide
3 [white adult] crushed asprins
This should be a pastey-like substance. If it's too runny then add another asprin. Dab it on & around the zit. Do this until the zit is gone.
Also about every other week, take a cotton ball & apply lemon juice & hydrogen peroxide [mixed together] to your face. UNLESS you are using a daily toner, then I don't think this would be necessary.
And finally, wash your hands through out the day, and try to keep your fingers off your face.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Toothpaste. The cheaper most generic white paste. Apply to the zit and it helps dry it up, clear it up. Put it on at night before bed or when just hanging out in her room. No tartar control or cinnamon gel, just good ole plain Crest or other generic.
Also, have her wash with water only. And steer clear of tomatoes and chocolate for a few weeks, see if the problems go away. If not, then it's probably just life. Deep cleaning her skin probably will cause more than it clears. So will other cleaning agents, including some soaps. Her young skin is going through changes, tell her not to upset it more with products.
Lastly, tell her not to TOUCH her face. Tell her that the oils on her fingers, they are like food for zits. Every time she touches her face, or a zit especially, she is feeding it.

With zits, the problem is too much oil in the skin, so I would not use a moisturizing cleanser, which just makes the problem worse. I recommend using cold, not hot, water on the face, and treat the skin gently--pat, don't scrub. After patting dry, apply rubbing alcohol, which is readily available and inexpensive, to the zits. This kills germs and also dries the zits up. Follow this process twice a day.

Lemons help too
what you need to do is
pop the zit and just squirt a medium amount of lemon
to the zit RIGHT AFTER you pop it....so have a lemon on hand
it will sting like a dog
but it will help
see the lemons acts as an acid...
so the germs will be destroyed
and it will help with the zits a lot
well this works for me....
hope it helps....=]
p.s squeeze the lemon cap side up so the seeds won't bother you plus its easier....=]

nothing you smoke is good. these household items that you smoke are not only dangerous for your health but can be lethal. everyone's physical chemistry is different. these items you want to smoke are gonna be different for each and every person. if you smoke these items, no one knows if your gonna get high, or if your going to die. you can suffer from a seizure instantly and you can become addictive. don't start doing this crap, it's not good for you. don't think because it's not cigars or weed that it can't hurt ya. look, your 14 and have your whole life ahead of you. dont screw it up because you want some happy feeling. it's not worth dying over and causing that pain on your family and friends.

there are too few expensive treatments out there that actually work. i would use the rest of it, then go with soap and water; the more natural the better. almond, or avacado for dry skin; tomato, or any citrus for oily skin; apricot for sensitive skin. don't over wash! wash with hot water then rinse with cold, both as extreme as she can handle. dab zits with honey, cover with cloth. if there aren't many, then it would be better to cover them individually with band-aids and leave on over night. as for household only items, toothpaste does work, but only on break-outs. one to a few zits at a time. it extracts all the oils from your skin, ALL oils even the essential oils. as it pulls out the oils everything from the pore comes with it. it works when done correctly, and is destructive when done improperly. also, the skin adapts, so if you see results with something, even if slow progressing, stick with it. this problem may not start with the skin. 8 glasses of water is a minimum, drinking plenty of water makes a great start for a great complexion. happy trails.

You can try using a face mask made of honey, a few drops of lemon juice and yogurt. All 3 have natural antibacterial properties and the mask will leave the skin completely hydrated and soft.
Or you can also apply just a thin layer of whipped egg white only for oily skin & combination skin or egg white + yolk for dry skin. Wait until it drys and then rinse it off.
I also suggest using a "scrub" made of honey and granulated sugar about twice a week.
