With a friend like that, who needs enemies?

My opinion is that a friend would never do that. But I don't know the reason for being dumped, or if the 'friend' knew you were going to a funeral either.

without making excuses for your friend, I would say that funerals are a very personal thing. When my grandmother died, my boyfriend didn't go with me. I went with my sister and brother. I had the support of my family, and my boyfriend had never met her. So, I got over it. Why did you want your friend to go with you? If it is for moral support because you don't have any other, than that was a bad thing for your friend to do. But if it is going to make your friend uncomfortable, or your friend would be in the way of the family grieveing, maybe you could understand this friend not wanting to go. Hope this helps.

A friend that dumps you on the same day as any funeral at all.. isn't a friend.
No matter who it is.. regardless of the conflict that's going on, it should be put aside even just for the sake of a day, so that they can be with you for support.
If they can't do that... then I'd recommend finding a new friend.

It could have been one of his personal that day and he might have been in a bad mode.Talk to him, investigate the matter.

He could have even done that because he didn't want to be your friend anymore.

But I think there has got to be some problem otherwise who is crazy enough to dump a good friend

that that personisn't a true friend-maybe they've been wanting to dump you all this time, but waited and waited tehy could have wanted to before but it builded up so much they couldn't take it and just explode maybe it wasn't meant to be on the day you went a funeral...maybe she wanted you to have one really bad day insted of two bad days..i say shes not really a friend

Definitely is not a friend, you've gotta choose better your friends.
You know... it happened to me when it was my dad's funeral, but it was my wife who did it, so... i know how hard it is, but the best part of my story is than i'm a single now!!!

my opinion would be low. But it could've been anyday & you'd
be unhappy about it. So get all of your grieving done at the same
time. Whenever you think of your lost relative you'll remember
the death of this relationship. Don't hold it against them.

It's your fault for not understanding that she cares nothing for you at all and is for sex only.

What the hell are you doing bringing a chick like that to a funeral?
